Having qualified from the highly prestigious Theatre Wardrobe and Design course in Liverpool, I went on to work in theatres in Bristol, Glasgow, Exeter, Cheltenham and Manchester.
This provided me with an excellent foundation in developing my design interpretation, cutting, making and finishing skills for all types corsetry, foundation garments, lingerie, historical dress, costumes and modern dress for women, men and children.
I work closely with the production designer and wardrobe supervisor on each production so the design is transformed into a garment that is individually fitted to the performer and finished to the highest standards for comfort and durability.
Since I set up my own company I have had the opportunity to work on productions for companies such as BBC, ITV, Cosprop, Angels, Shakepeare's Globe, RSC, The Open Air Theatre and many West End productions including Kenneth Branagh's Season at the Garrick ,
(Winter's Tale and Harlequinnade) and Macbeth, (MIF and The Armoury, New York), Nell Gwynne, Funny Girl, Mrs Henderson Presents, Farneilli and the King and Singin in The Rain, Poldark, Downton Abbey, Calender Girls (film), The Golden Era (film), The Golden Bowl (film), Phantom of the Opera (film), and The Others (film).
The skills, quality, care and passion that I am known for to the entertainment industry I have applied to private commissions for special occasion garments.
The client will enjoy the luxury of having individual attention, quality workmanship and a stunning outfit that is created uniquely for them.
